Unlike most planning and design
firms, H&J is actively engaged in ongoing research that supports our main goal of creating socially
sustainable developments. Some of the current research projects we are engaged include:
- Determining effective levels of safe and permeable streets.
- Creating effective and efficient tools for assessing the impact of development on neighborhood crime levels.
- Linking livability factors to environmental and economic viability of a neighborhood.
